Zusammensetzung: 100 g Akneroxid Gel 100 mg/g enthalten: Arzneilich wirksamer Bestandteil: Benzoylperoxid 10 g. Sonstige Bestandteile: ger. Wasser; Macrogollaurylether 4 (Ph.Eur.); Carbomer 940; Natriumhydroxid; Edetinsäure.
Anwendungsgebiete: Akne vulgaris, insbesondere an Brust und Rücken. Ferner Akne vulgaris, die auf 5%ige Benzoylperoxidzubereitung nicht ausreichend anspricht.
Gegenanzeigen: Überempfindlichkeit gegen Benzoylperoxid oder einen der sonstigen Bestandteile.
Wechselwirkungen: Von einer gleichzeitigen Anwendung von Hautpräparaten mit hautreizender Wirkung ist abzuraten.
Nebenwirkungen: Der Wirkungseintritt kann in den ersten Tagen von Spannungsgefühl und leichter Rötung der Haut begleitet sein. Das bei empfindlicher Haut anfangs leichte Brennen vergeht normalerweise im Laufe der Behandlung. Mäßiges Schälen bleibt während gesamter Therapiedauer bestehen. Falls übermäßige Rötung und Brennen länger als 5 Tage anhalten, ist das Medikament abzusetzen. Nach Abklingen dieser Erscheinungen kann die Behandlung oft mit weniger häufigem Auftragen bzw. mit der 5%igen anstelle der 10%igen Zubereitung fortgesetzt werden. Gelegentlich stärkere Austrocknung der Haut. In seltenen Fällen Kontaktallergie.
